The Poetry Jukebox is an urban art installation created by Ondrej Kobza, a Czech-based art, cultural and urban space innovator and coffee house owner. The jukebox is one of his invention that can be found in various European cities and now also in the United States.
I have been working with Ondrej for more than a year to bring the installation to New York City. Finally, I was able to find a partner in the Village Alliance and with their help secure a permit to install the jukebox for 1 year starting in June 2018 at Ruth E. Wittenberg Triangle (6th Ave & Greenwich Ave).
The photographs document both the day of installation and inauguration with the Czech Ambassador to the United States.
