Founded in 2013 in Detroit, York Project has been driven by a mission to do more than making great clothes for trailblazing millennials. They also want to give back to local communities. For every product sold, York Project makes a Donation Kit (a canvas tote bag, toilet paper, socks, and bottled water) and provides it to local homeless people. To date, they’ve made over 18,000 donations in 23 cities in the United States.
I had the pleasure of photographing York Project's summer 2017 collection at a warehouse rented from a friend I met in Detroit. The backdrop of Michigan Central Station and the two amazing models Hannah (Germany) & Alex (USA) created the right ambiance for the brand that aims to create change.
